Pillar 01 | Full Sanitation Protocols

Biosecurity begins with the condition of the equipment entering the farm.

Trailer Wash & Disinfection

  • Single-flow facility designed to minimize cross-contamination and support disease mitigation.
  • Use of accelerated hydrogen peroxide based disinfectants at labeled concentrations and contact times.
  • Wash bay staff trained at highest levels with most strategic plan.

Cab & Driver Hygiene

  • Cab interiors cleaned and disinfected between loads.
  • Farm-dedicated or disposable PPE.
  • Clean PPE for each farm site.

Line of Separation (LOS)

  • Drivers respect each farm's Line of Separation at all times.
  • Drivers do NOT enter barns or cross the LOS unless required and approved, following the farm's specific protocol.
  • Loading/unloading procedures follow the receiving site's biosecurity requirements. When in doubt, ask before acting.
  • Defined clean and dirty zones.
  • TnT facility includes a defined LOS, controlling vehicle movement into the wash operation and protecting the surrounding yard from cross-contamination.

FORTIFIED creates a digital record of the transportation process from the truck and driver to the wash, inspection, load, and final delivery.

Documentation allows TNT and its customers to verify that FORTIFIED standards are being followed and provides the information required to review performance, respond to incidents, and continually improve the program.

Physical readiness controls provide a visible backup to our digital systems, ensuring equipment status is clearly communicated to drivers and staff.
